For those of you out there that love the"infographic" and have an interest in search engine optimisation...

This graphical timeline does a nice job of summarising Google's short and colourful history. Who would have thought back in 98 that Google's future focus would be keeping on top of of a billion dollar industry dedicated to manipulating their results for profit. The fight to stay relevant has evolved into a game of cat n' mouse with the guys at Google continually re-engineering the algorithm to minimise the impact of blatant manipulation.

Hopefully we are not too far away from the mass extermination of content farms that pollute the internet with a sea of irrelevant crap.
