What happens after I decide to have my website built by Netstarter?
Once you have spoken with a Netstarter consultant, you will receive an electronic copy of our Website Planner document. A simple planning tool designed to help you collate and organise the content appearing in your new website. If you are unsure of the correct package for your business or require some presales assistance, we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss the project at our Sydney office . Once the website planner has been finalised and all of the accompanying artwork has been received, our graphics team will begin preparing a concept design for your website.

Will I know how to populate, maintain and update my website once it is complete?
Of course! our Starter Kit comes with a detailed user manual that clearly describes all of the available functionality (within the content management system) in a step by step reference guide. All documentation includes detailed diagrams and screenshots to help familiarise you with Site Control and present the various features in the most understandable way.

We also offer a complimentary training service to all Customers that feel more comfortable with an interactive demonstration from one of the Netstarter consultants . We maintain a fully equipped training lab in our head office designed to provide the ideal staging environment for personalised tuition. Our goal is to bring you up to speed with Site Control and demonstrate all of the available functionality at a pace that suits you. Feel free to book a lab session at a time that is convenient for you.

If I don't want to update my own website content, can Netstarter do it for me?
Of course! We offer a range of maintenance plans designed to save you time and ensure that your website is constantly reflecting a fresh look with the most up to date content.

What happens if I have problems using Manage My Site (MMS)?

Do I need to purchase a domain name?
No, all you have to do is choose the right one (or ask one of our consultants to help) and we will do the rest. Most of our packages include registration of a .com or .com.au domain name for 2 years.

No problem! We'll gladly transfer your existing domain name to your new Netstarter Web site free of charge.

How long will it take to build a Web site?

Yes. Netstarter can use a combination of stock photography and images/graphics that relate to your business or industry to help create a professional design for your website.

What happens to my domain name and e-mail if I cancel my service?
The domain name included with your account is registered in your name. If you decide to cancel your plan, you can choose to transfer your domain name to another provider. You will have to re-configure your e-mail addresses with the new servers settings. We can provide you with a static output of your website for transfer if required.

Can Netstarter help me promote my website?
Yes! As a standard procedure for all websites, we align our design principles with commonly accepted benchmarks for search engine optimization. All of our packages include full keyword, page title and meta-tag administration tools to increase the likelihood of a favourable search engine ranking.

No. Every package comes with the Netstarter Manage My Site (MMS) content management system and complete documentation for maintaining all aspects of your website. We also conduct complimentary training sessions for Customers at our local training lab.

How do I pay for additional services such as maintenance or training?
Services that do not occur on a fixed monthly basis (such as optional components and extra services) will be invoiced on a standard 14 day credit policy. Payment for these services can be made by cheque, credit card or direct transfer.

How come I can host my website for cheaper elsewhere?
All Netstarter sites are hosted on our dedicated Windows 2003 servers (not Unix) running the latest Microsoft .NET environment and sophisticated SQL Server databases. Our dedicated servers are located at WebCentral's (Australia's leading website hosting company) state of the art datacenter. Your hosting fee also covers the licensing fee for Manage My Site (MMS) content management system. We also provide free phone and email support as well as access to complimentary training - exceptional value for money!

 

Running Your Website


I'm not at the office and I need to check my email, how do I check it online?
You can either click here or at the bottom of the Netstarter Site (webmail link) to go to the webmail login page. Netstarter's webmail facility provides you with convenient access (when you are traveling or away from the office) to your email from any computer with Internet connectivity (similar to Hotmail).

Incoming (POP) e-mail server : pop.yourwebsite.com.au

Outgoing (SMTP) email server : mail.yourISP.com.au*

* Please note: if you are a Telstra Bigpond or Optus Customer you will need to set your Outgoing e-mail server settings accordingly.
