Weight loss – How To Lose Weight
Allow me to begin with the obvious. Every one of us wants to lose weight. We are often told the statistics but here it is once again. Over a billion people are overweight and obese in the world and this number doesn’t seem likely to decrease anytime soon. Many people find it hard to stick to just one diet. The motivation is lost after just few weeks. Most people will lose a few pounds only to gain it all back eventually.
Why we keep gaining weight instead of losing
The problem with some weight loss diets is you consume food that is low in carbohydrate and fat. Such a diet over time can drain all your energy causing sleeplessness and chronic mood swings. Another common occurrence when on a weight loss diet can be sugar cravings. Ever wondered why you always wanted to have that chocolate bar, or ice cream every time you're on a weight loss diet? Well, the lack of sugary foods eventually makes you feel crazy, and want to eat sugar!
So this is why many people find sticking to a weight loss diet almost impossible. Why you fail is not because you lack motivation or the proper mindset, but it is your body’s natural reaction which is incredibly hard to fight. This is why you tell yourself you lack the will to stick to a diet program. With most weight loss diets we are not giving our bodies the energy and nutrients it deserves.
What else is wrong with these diets?
When you keep depriving your body of carbohydrates what you are telling it is that there is a shortage of food. When there is shortage of food the natural reaction of the body is to store fat. It will exert extra energy to absorb anything. What you need is to lose weight but your body on the other hand wants to consume as much as it can.
So even though you may want to keep starving, your body will start producing hormones that will make you want to eat more. In this battle between your body and you, your body naturally will wins. So you see having a cutting carbohydrates and sugars you’re your diet is just not a good weight loss plan.
Eating fat for wait loss
Most people tend to think the only way achieving wait loss is through a low-fat diet. But however much food you consume you will still be hungry. If you don't eat enough fat, you continuously will have to eat more food to satisfy your body.
The fact is eating fat will not make you fat, this is only a myth that is believed by a lot of people. Americans eat most of their foods with a minimal or no fat. Comparatively Europeans, eat much more fat, but still there are less obese people in Europe than in the US. So now you can see the common belief that eating fat makes you fat is nothing more than just a false assumption.
Key points to having a weight loss diet
1. Avoid eating a low-fat diet, that can only result in you getting used to bad diet practice. A low-fat diet deprives your body. You will actually eat more food if you are on a fat free diet.
2. Fatty foods are incredibly satisfying and can quickly make your body feel full. Avocado and mashed potatoes with butter might seem unhealthy but they really can keep your body full for awhile.
3. What you really need to do is to cut down on your protein consumption. Eating meat cannot satisfy your hunger as fatty foods would. Besides, cooked protein is also unhealthy because they contain harmful, addictive substances such as beta-carbolines. These substances make your body want to eat increasingly more!
In your high school science class you would have learnt that proteins are also used to make enzymes. More protein you eat your body will produce more enzymes, and convert amino acids into fatty acids, because you are not consuming enough fat.
4. A diet with insufficient fat and carbohydrates will lead to chronic mood swings. Avoid wait loss plans that requires you to keep away from carbohydrates and fatty foods. Such plans simply will not work.
The weight loss diet
First, you should realise that the human body remains at its ideal weight most of the time. We can try and try to lose weight, however if our body is satisfied with this ideal weight, it is very difficult.
Why we are obese:
1) Each day, we consume foods that can cause damage to this system that maintains our ideal weight
2) We eat foods with addictive substances such as cooked protein.
3) We avoid all fats and carbohydrates pushing our bodies in to a state of starvation, which help produce more fat.
So to lose weight, we need to:
1) Stop eating foods that damage this system
2) Discontinue the consumption of foods that are addictive and cause cravings
3) Continue to eat foods with fats and carbohydrates
This is basically what is needed to start losing weight. Start eating healthier you will not only lose weight but will also look and feel healthier as well.
